Vibrant Vintage Variety

V4 Vintage Vendors

Developed V4, a custom-built website for an outdoor street market vintage brand. This site demonstrates expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript by creating eye catching colorful website showcasing brand identity, customer engagement and product categories. the website is fully responsive with mobile and desktop arrangements, paired with interactive and kinetic elements such as a rotating vinyl record home link with circular seal, vintage CRT TV video frames, and numerous instances of motion graphics that create visual story telling and customer calls to action.

Overview

In the later half of 2025, I took on a project to create a website for V4 Vintage Vendors, a vending collective participating in outdoor vintage pop up markets in the DC, VA, MD area; such as Homecourt DC, in Silver Spring, MD,  Solace* in College Park, MD, and Street Market Gallery at Union Market in Washington, DC.

This was one of my most intensive projects; requiring continual contact with the client team, ensuring a design everyone was satisfied with. One that translated their tactile experience and incandescent interactivity of their in person outdoor markets, while also giving headroom for future development as the brand looks towards expansion and setting up an online storefront.

Playful Elements: Implementing numerous interactive page elements with JavaScript required thorough planning and extensive testing to ensure seamless integration, especially when considering responsive design.

Future Client Aspirations: While the client now operates mainly through in person customer interaction at vintage markets in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area, the client expressed interest in expanding to online sales, as customer retention and engagement on social media continues to increase.

Consistent Client Communication: biweekly updates/video meetings with client ensuring that progress on complex elements and pages were moving in the direction that the client wanted. extensive articulation and agreements for which direction the project was heading; such as a clockwise spinning rainbow record logo with counterclockwise circular seal with text elements.

Original Asset Creation and In Person Event Observations: I visited a few of the vendor markets that V4 participated in, taking pictures of their setups, collections and table layouts; including customer attractions like disco lights and spinning turntables. hi resolution photos and videos of vintage televisions, vinyl records, and other products were captured to ensure a proper translation of

Longevity with Prefab Sections: Created full and half width responsive sections with consistent and easily editable design layouts to facilitate long term evolution of site as client looks towards opening online storefront using services like Shopify and other APIs.

Outcome

This project helped me to further harness my craft of web design by implementing complex and interactive elements using extensive custom Java Script functions. This project also helped me to improve on client relations and expectations by keeping in close contact with the client, they and I were able to collaborate on the visual aesthetics of the site, including color compositions, original logo and video assets, layout, and typography. one of the earliest agreed upon approaches was mimicking the tactile feeling of perusing their selections at their vendor markets in the DMV area.
